Vetralia represents the state of the art in the creative research of Arte Veneziana and pursues the objective of producing unique pieces or limited series of Collectible Design.
The pieces it creates are always characterised by the use of artistic techniques found in the Venetian tradition, through a contemporary interpretation carried out by international artists and designers who are keen to experiment with it.

Collaborations with designers and artists
Vetralia is a meeting place for creatives, whose wish is to combine new artistic forms with the Venetian craftsmanship skills.
Vetralia’s research consists in discovering, producing and promoting functional works of art capable of arousing a response in the end user both, in emotional and intellectual terms.
The result of this research is the creation of unique artefacts, capable of confirming the rewarding influence between the productive spirit of a place and an international creative vision; objects that are aimed at a clientele capable of appreciating a profound design notion, expressed through unattainable manual skills.

Together with our craftsmen we challenge any material to achieve the final result, from glassblowing and etching to the use of materials such as wood, metal and others.
Innovation through tradition is our key in every project. Through knowledge of different tools and collaboration with master craftsmen, we are able to interpret the most extravagant ideas and designs from the four corners of the world.
We do not simply stop at the aesthetics and functionality of the design but also delve into the meaning of each creation with the artists. Every detail and nuance of the design is important to us.

Design Residency and Open Call
Connecting international designers with outstanding artisans
Vetralia has been actively collaborating with emerging and independent artists seeking to connect them with our exceptional craftsmen to develop utterly unique projects. We are open to receiving artists in the form of residencies or open calls as we did in 2023 with the Venice Design Biennial where Trent Jansen, an Australian designer, explored Venice and designed a cabinet reflecting on the anthropological aspects of the island.
We welcomed this design challenge from Trent, demonstrating how artistic interpretation, rich in inclusive and diverse cultural values, can be transformed into an object created through the incredible, though often hidden, skills of high Venetian craftsmanship.
At the end of the creative process, the 'Magistrato al Sal Nero' cabinet was exhibited during the fourth Venice Design Biennial: Auto-Exotic'' between May and June in 2023.
