French Touch

Tristan Auer, Bruno Borrione, Tal Waldman, Jean-Michel Wilmotte

To collaborate means to listen to the other party. This is why Arte Veneziana continues to develop ideas through design approaches from different backgrounds.

‘The French Touch’ is in fact an enquiry into the opportunities that glass offers, addressed by four designers with different stylistic attitudes. Their common theme is their geographical origin: Paris, one of the world capitals of interior design and the most avant-garde artistic vision.

A way of tributing a nation that offers so much to the culture of beautiful design, a way of understanding where the world of contemporary decoration is moving.

TRISTAN AUER / DESIGNER

INTERIOR ARCHITECT

Tristan Auer

Paris

An interior and emotion architect, Tristan Auer designs beautifully sensual and singular interiors.

His extremely rich and aesthetic vision finds its finest expression in vibrant col-our, lights and era mixes. From the Hôtel de Crillon and the Bains-Douches in Paris, to the prestigious works in private houses in London and New York, all the way to Moustique Is-land, he operates with the style of a stage director, his client being both the main actor in his screenplay and his accomplice in this on-going quest for elegance. As an ambassador of a certain French “art de vivre”, Tristan Auer combines his very modern vision with arts and crafts excellence to give a new definition of contemporary luxury.

Tristan Auer grew up in Aix-en-Provence. After graduating at ESAG-Penninghen, he joined forces with the Christian Liaigre team, and then Philippe Starck before he went on starting his own interior design firm in Paris in 2002.
